The prestigious Hudson Valley Women's Writing Group — seven friends from diverse occupational backgrounds (academics, social workers, teachers and lawyers) who write from the collective perspective of being women-of-a-certain-age in a culture that tends to render older women invisible or irrelevant, and who share their unique perspectives on memory, joy, resistance, resilience, aging and transformation, will read from their recently published second anthology of prose and poetry Rethinking The Ground Rules.
The evening will explore topics from the Coronavirus to the cosmos to the craft of writing itself in varied works that offer journeys of re-examination and rule-breaking that will leave readers marveling at the restorative power of words.
